 HISTORY ON THESE CAPS: They were issued at the New York World's Fair 1964-1965 (actually they were issued before the fair opened as a promotion, as early as 1961 as per the copyright on them). There were 23 issued and used at the World's Fair, the smaller ones were used on a "Special Map" (very rare) for the 1964-65 New York World's Fair 1964-1965. They used 23 caps and descriptions of the sites on a paper map of the World's Fair with 23 spots for bottle caps with buildings, pavilions and attractions. Included are: Pavilion of American Interiors, Boy Scouts of America Exhibit, Fountain of the Planets, RCA, Protestant and Orthodox Center, Hong Kong Pavilion, Lunar Fountain, Tower of Light, General Electric Progressland, Solar Fountain, Kodak Pavilion, Vatican Pavilion, American-Israel Pavilion, Dancing Waters, Hawaii, the Aloha State, Astral Fountain, Westinghouse Time Capsule, Transportation & Travel Pavilion, General Motors Futurama Building, Ice-Travaganza, Ford Motor Company, Press Building, and Unisphere. They are hard to find do to fading and rust spots, so buy them wherever you get them and spray them with Krylon Ultraviolet Spray before they fade into history.
